Warranty Policy
Manufacturer warranty pass-through across all brands
2.1 How Warranty Works on a Multi-Brand Store
Sleepercoach is an authorised retailer of multiple mattress and sleep-product brands. Each product is covered by the warranty offered by its original manufacturer, the duration and terms of which vary by brand and model and are stated on the individual product page and/or the warranty card included with the product. Sleepercoach facilitates the warranty claim process on your behalf as the point of purchase, but the manufacturer's specific terms and conditions govern the scope of coverage.
2.2 Typical Warranty Coverage
Warranties generally cover manufacturing defects, including but not limited to:
- Sagging or body impressions exceeding the manufacturer's specified depth threshold (commonly 1.5–2 inches, measured without any weight on the mattress) not caused by an incompatible base or overloading
- Defects in foam density, spring units, or coir/latex core arising from manufacturing
- Faults in stitching, seams, zippers, or fabric cover under normal use
- Premature and abnormal wear of the mattress core under normal single-household use
2.3 What Is Not Covered
- Normal wear and tear, including gradual softening or minor body impressions within the manufacturer's tolerance
- Stains, burns, cuts, pet damage, water/liquid damage, or damage from improper cleaning agents
- Use on an incompatible, damaged, or unsupported base/foundation (e.g., broken slats, missing centre support)
- Products used in a commercial, rental, or institutional setting unless a commercial warranty was separately purchased
- Odour from new foam off-gassing, which is a temporary and normal characteristic of new foam products and dissipates typically within [1–2] weeks in a ventilated room
- Minor variations in firmness, colour, or texture between batches, which are natural material characteristics and not manufacturing defects
- Products that have been resold, gifted, relocated to a different address without notifying us, or where proof of original purchase cannot be produced
- Damage arising from transportation by the customer's own means after delivery, or from folding/bending memory-foam or hybrid mattresses not designed to be folded
2.4 Warranty Period by Category (Indicative — Refer to Product Page)
| Product Category | Typical Warranty Range |
|---|---|
| Foam / Memory Foam Mattresses | 5–10 years (pro-rata after year 3–5, per brand) |
| Spring / Hybrid Mattresses | 5–10 years |
| Coir / Natural Fibre Mattresses | 3–7 years |
| Adjustable Bases / Mechanised Beds | 1–3 years (motor/mechanism), 1 year (electronics) |
| Pillows, Toppers, Protectors | Typically 6–12 months or as stated by brand |
Exact warranty duration, and whether it is full or pro-rata, is set by the manufacturer and confirmed on each product listing and the physical warranty card shipped with the product. Pro-rata terms mean the manufacturer's replacement contribution reduces as the warranty period progresses.
2.5 Registering Your Warranty
We recommend registering your product within [15] days of delivery via [warranty registration link/QR code on the card] and retaining your invoice. Proof of purchase (invoice/order ID) is required for all warranty claims; registration helps us process claims faster but does not itself replace the requirement to retain your invoice.
2.6 How to File a Warranty Claim
- Contact us at [support email] / [phone number] with your order ID, product name, and a description of the issue.
- Share clear photographs or a short video of the defect, including the mattress label/barcode.
- Our team, or the brand's authorised technician, will review the claim and may schedule a physical inspection at your address for larger claims (typically within [7–10] business days).
- If the claim is approved, the manufacturer will repair, replace, or issue a pro-rata credit toward a new unit, per the applicable brand's warranty terms. Where a claim is declined, we will share the manufacturer's inspection report and reasoning with you.
2.7 Remedy at Manufacturer's Discretion
Repair, replacement, or store-credit remedies under warranty are provided at the manufacturer's discretion and in accordance with the specific brand's warranty card. This warranty policy is in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 in respect of defective or unmerchantable goods.
2.8 Limitation of Liability
Sleepercoach's role is to facilitate warranty service between you and the manufacturer. Except where required by law, our liability in connection with a warranty claim is limited to facilitating the applicable manufacturer remedy and does not extend to consequential losses (e.g., alternative sleeping arrangements, loss of time). Nothing in this clause excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for defective goods causing harm.
